How They Work
THE PATENTED TECHNOLOGY of NESCAFÉ® Dolce GustoTM capsules regulates the pump pressure through each one of our specialty coffees. Espresso for example requires high pressure, while a 3-layer Latte Macchiato must have lower pressure to achieve the perfect milk froth. Just place the capsule in the holder and choose the exact amount of water for your hot and cold drinks.*
- 1When you insert the capsule and lock down the lever, a needle punctures the aroma seal.
- 2Water at the perfect temperature enters the capsule at high pressure …
- 3... and is forced evenly through the roasted coffee via a perforated film.
- 4The pressure causes a plastic disk to pierce the aluminum foil underneath, allowing the water to run through. The plastic disk regulates the pressure precisely for each drink.
